Modeling of Evaportranspiration in Lettuce


Modeling Evapotranspiration and Hydroponic Solution Chemistry
Our research on evapotranspiration is conducted in a research scale continuous-production system for lettuce. The system has automatic measurement and control of pH and dissolved oxygen (DO). Root zone temperature, electric conductivity (EC), and nitrate concentration are also measured automatically. Water loss from evapotranspiration is measured using a scale. Nitrate concentration measurements are being used to model the dynamics of pH change and quantify nitrate uptake.
